Precast/Prestressed concrete floor elements are part of a gravity load resisting system and could be part of the lateral load resisting system of a structure. These elements carry the gravity loads applied to the structure and transfer them to the load-bearing elements.
Gravity loads are derived from the structure's weight plus all permanently attached material and equipment (dead loads) and from code-specified live loads which includes temporary, transitory weights of people, vehicles or moving equipment. Some of the products that RMP offers dealing with floor systems are: stemmed members (DT), beams and flat slabs.
